Spin n Little Lena (above) 2005 bay mare by Inna Little Spin, out of Fives Little
Lena, (an own daughter of Smart
Little Lena, with NCHA and NRHA money earning progeny, who is out of Fives Hermana; World Champion producer and own daughter of
Doc's Hickory). Started with 20 mths cow horse training under Shawn Hays,
discontinued training in September 2008 because of ulcer and soreness
issues and turned out to pasture to rest and grow out. Resumed cutting training with Roy Cox in late August 2009 now with no soreness or ulcer issues and showing huge talent and ability as a cutting horse and great future
broodmare prospect as well. Also a great non pro prospect because of her good minded nature. After eight months full time in cutting training she ready to show in a bridle and will
be show ready by mid 2010. To a good show home only as this is a very nice mare. POA.
Smartest Little Spin (above) 2005 beautiful bay mare by Inna Little Spin out of Miss Cowtender. This mare was sold to Mark and Marsha Chestnut in 2007 as a two year old and after approximately one year of 'ranch' riding and unsuccessfully getting her sold as a Futurity prospect she was resold to BWQ Ranch in March 2008. She started Reining training in March 2008 with Jason Wordsworth, after approximately six months of training it was decided she was talented but too much horse for Reining. She was now too far behind with not enough time on cattle to be a Futurity Cow Horse prospect so owner Debra Watson tried her as her as a riding prospect. After several months of riding her it was decided Debra did not have enough time and the mare was too talented and 'open' caliber. After another short break it was decided to put her on cattle full time in late August 2009 with Roy Cox. Even though she was late in her 4 yr old year BWQ thought it was worth the expense of getting her trained on cattle and give her a job to do as she is such a beautiful athletic type of mare always willing to please and worth the expense.
Their gamble is paying off. Roy Cox's first assessment of her after 90 days on cattle was very positive, she improved dramatically and really took to working cattle. Out of all our horses in work with Roy she has progressed the most she now has approximately 8 months training on cattle. She is very good minded and loves her job and is very focused on a cow. She has no trouble keeping pace with a cow and can make some very big moves with ease. She has a huge stop and is very agile in her spins. Once she is more solid and confident in her job she will be a great and very physical top working cow horse prospect and an awesome broodmare prospect. This mare is very close to being show ready. $8000
Inna Sassy Spin (above) 2007 gorgeous petite bay mare by Inna Little
Spin out of Miss Cowtender.
This filly was started under saddle by Jason Wordsworth in June 2009
and then after a short break was started on Cattle by Roy Cox in OK in
late August. This filly is a very special and talented horse and shows a
lot of ability and intensity on a cow. Strong open cutting prospect
despite being started late on cattle has heaps of natural ability that
cannot be taught! Negotiable to a good show home. Very bright on a cow
will stay in work until sold.
